We finally have reached the spring equinox aka the astrological new year and the beginning of Aries SZN. It’s the time to be bold, make moves, plant seeds, and put yourself out there in a major way.
I feel invigorated and ready to tackle the world for good reason.
First order of business…
Yes, Project Melancholy is Melancholy’s Finest, book 1 of the Motorpapi Chronicles. This is a wild-ass lofi cyberpunk book influenced by manga, anime, and old-school cyberpunk movies.
And yes this will be a series. I have 4-5 book titles in my notes and a loose concept for book 2.
I’m so damn EXCITED for y’all to experience this book this summer. It’s really something special.

The writing community has new drama every other week and this Brandon Sanderson article has riled up a lot of people. He’s a fantasy writer with a big fanbase and he made a shitload of money off his kickstarter last year.
This is a such a strange article. Obviously, it’s clickbait, but it’s written in such a way to make Sanderson seem like he has no personality and there’s no story here. Reeks of hater energy, but the gag is the writer of the article Jason Kehe admits to having read 17 of Sanderson’s books, but claims the writing is bad. I smell cap or the man has a crazy amount of cognitive dissonance. No one is reading 17 books from an author they can’t stand, let alone believes is terrible.
My theory is he struggled to write this piece and projected his anger/frustration onto Brandon Sanderson. I don’t care about the mean tone, but it just feels hypocritical to me since there is some closeted fandom. He puts down the nerds at the book convention as if he’s in a different stratosphere of cool.
Sidnote: I’ve never read a single Brandon Sanderson book.
Sanderson responded in a kind way on reddit and fried Kehe.

I’m so damn close to being done with these edits for Project Hum. I have a lot of coals in the oven and I’m ready to tackle the next project. I just need to clear a couple of things off my plate.
Lots of movement behind the scenes…and the second installment of the LV Diaries will drop sometime this weekend.

Smino’s soulful raps and harmonies keep me coming back time and time again. “Wyoming (Freestyle)” is no exception. And I want that fuck Balenciaga shirt now.
“Got my foot inside the door, then I tore it open…”
This a rare event, a special moment in time. Alchemist raps over a Hit-Boy beat like he’s been laying down rhymes his whole life. On the other hand, Hit-Boy raps over an alchemist beat and taking aim at many popular producers including DJ Mustard, Metro Boomin, Hitmaker and more.
MIKE’s music is always soulful, refreshing, and inspiring. We see MIKE working out while sweating through a Rocky like montage overcoming his personal trials and tribulations. This makes me feel hopeful, happy and thankful to be alive.
Lola Brooke’s carries the grimy female rap torch and carries an air of street authenticity with “So DISREPECTFUL." Her deep vocal tone is perfect, the visuals are great, and I’m rooting for Lola to rise even higher in the game.
Until next time…
Fantastic read!
