I’m writing this in between the tenuous land between eclipses, striving to find the right balance in these hectic astrological times. You’re probably reading this on the day of the second lunar eclipse and feeling the erosion going on in the background. Maybe it’s the ending of cycles and/or the erosion of outdated belief systems, maybe it’s the erosion of relationships or something else. Either way, I’m going with the flow and staying out the way.
New beginnings are on the horizon.
The moon is in Taurus and they call this the Hunter’s Moon. You know the time people began the Great Hunt aka Hunter’s Season. Grab your spears and follow me into the woods.
I’m tired and I’m feeling it all.
All of it.
I feel like great tides of change are going on internally and I’ve accepted where I’m at. I’m still doing my daily meditations and daily visualizations. Discipline and perseverance are anchors for me.
The wolf is howling and the cries of the birds in the forest urge me to move forward.
Earlier this week, I felt this pull to get a reading, but my intuition told me to get something different than a tarot reading or an astrological reading. I came across The Mother Moon Coven Bones Prediction reading aka osteomancy. Bone divination felt like the one, and something I’ve never experienced before. Let’s convene with the spirits embedded in old bones and see what they have to say…
Here’s a snippet of my reading below.
Solving the labyrinth of my inner world, going through the darkness to find what I seek. Sounds like a riddle, but the entire message resonated deeply and I went through immediate shifts after reading it. Looking down at my phone the time said 1:11 pm, another confirmation from the universe.
Shoutout to the AllMother though…seems to be the Norse goddess Frigg/Frigga.
Perseverance, patience, and moxie…
Reviews and traction for Melancholy’s Finest has been slow, but I’m thankful they’re still coming in. And knowing the talented Brian Bowyer fucks with it made me feel a lot better about the book and the series I’m crafting.
On the writing front, things have been slow. I’m adjusting to some changes at work and attempting to establish a bit of a new writing routine. Can’t tell if I’ll be getting up earlier to work or just sticking with a targeted word count every night. We’ll see…
I was talking to the BRB group chat about Project Bunny Bloodbath and J. David Osborne gave me a new title for the book even though I asked an entirely different question. I can’t say the title because it’s a baby in the womb and it needs to be protected from foreign energies. But man, this title is so fucking good, it sounds like a horror classic. It’s really putting the battery in my back everytime I think about it.

I finished Whalefall and damn does it live up to the hype. An amazing tale about a diver searching for his father’s remains who gets swallowed by a whale. He’s forced to battle his past, his self, and make peace with the ghost of his dead father while trying to fight for his life.
Currently Smoking: Papa’s Herb Pre-roll
Listening: Black Tapes Podcast, The Danny Brown Podcast, The Higherside Chats, Agitator, Mutual Aberration Society, and Lost Xplorers.
MIKE is the king of rapping about his inner world and his trials & tribulations. Of course “What U Say U Are” is no different. Except this time we get some Halloween themed visuals which plays with the concept of self and the ever looming shadow. Plus, there’s an axe-wielding African masked killer.
Smino is rapping on such high levels on this record you prolly would think he isn’t say anything of substance on this record, but you would have to be deaf to think that. He dons the Michael Myers mask as he looms over his peers. A Ludacris sample, St. Louis pride, and straight spitting is all that’s needed.
Danny Brown dons a cyberpunk suit for the Alchemist produced single “Tantor.” It’s simply amazing. Maybe people forgot the veteran could rap, but he floats as a pixelated version of him throws someone out the window. I can’t wait for his album Quaranta to drop. XXX was/is a classic and I know this outing won’t be any different.
Until next time…

I was wondering if there was something unusual happening on an astrological level this past week. Been feeling off, but also seeing signs of reassurance, which doesn't usually happen when I'm feeling like this. That bones reading sounds intense.
