Art by Aline Joana Rueede
It’s crazy how ideas come out of thin air. I’ve been binge-watching a battle rapper named O Solo who shares the same cadence and pitch of MLK and one of his lines has been stuck in my head for an entire week. Little did I know, this random bar activated some creative juices in my subconscious mind and a random IG video with a weird clown girl vacuuming dust bunnies brought it all together for me. A title bloomed as I had a random HOR Berlin playlist playing as I put the final touches on that pearl-themed short story I was working on came to completion.
I love how the muse works in mysterious ways. I couldn’t wallow in this spurt of happiness for too long since the short story deadline crept up on me like a motherfucker. And don’t even get me started on the weight of Saturn in Pisces earlier this week. For some reason, I thought I had two days to finish he story, when in fact, I only had one left. It was time to buckle down and lock in…
As I put the final touches on the story, I had a moment of synchronicity. Two images in my story came together beautifully. I took this as a clear sign of being on the right track.
Operation Comfort
Someone special dropped some gems on me the other day and pointed out how I don’t pour into myself as much as I should. Despite me preaching to my tarot clients about self care, I don’t always follow through. There are much deeper reasons for this, but the convo helped put things in perspective and served as the perfect jumpstart I needed.
You know I’m big on manifestation. The universe pays attention to what you’re doing and how you’re treating yourself. You carry this energy everywhere you go and people can feel this. It helped bring things full circle and I’m shifting some priorities to get this part of my life together. Operation Comfort loading…
Pole Talk
Shoutout to
for whipping up the single art for Big Poliano’s single “Pole Talk.” If you’ve read Bullet Tooth or you follow David Simmons on social media, you should be well acquainted with the drill music rapper and his adventures in my horror novel. The universe expands every day and don’t be surprised if you can actually hear the song soon.Shipping Update
I finally figured out how to work my thermal label printer and shipped out signed copies of Bullet Tooth. I made a lil tiktok video documenting the moment here. Those of you who ordered the normal edition should be getting your copies sooner rather than later.
I expect to receive the first batch of The Dark Oblivion Edition of Bullet Tooth from the printers sometime in March. Remember that only 50 of these will ever be printed out and this will be one of the few Grant Wamack collectibles that could be worth something in the future. People are still buying copies. Buy one here before it’s too late.
Writing Updates
I’m still working hard on Project Bunny Bloodbath and I’m extremely pleased with the way it’s coming together. The cover’s pretty much done, but I can’t show y’all but it’s fire.
Currently Watching: Love, Death & Robots Season 3 & True Detective Season 4: Night Country & Ballers Season 5
I’ve been avoiding finishing True Detective Night Country for various reasons. The third episode put such a bad taste in my mouth that I need a breather before committing 120 minutes to this show.
Currently Reading: Cosmic Horror Monthly #3 and Pedo Island Bloodbath by Duncan Ralston & Less Than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis and Bedlam by Charlene Elsby & Bad Foundations by Brian Allen Carr
Currently Smoking: Quiet aka no weed this week
Listening: The Danny Brown Podcast, Back from the Borderline, The Higherside Chats, Agitator, Mutual Aberration Society, Victory Light, and Lost Xplorers
I had no idea evilgiane’s ethereal, hazy cloudrap production would create the perfect backdrop for Maxo Kream to float on. Maxo digs deep into his ratchet bag, but his cadence and flow is perfect. This is one magic school bus trip that you may never come down from.
It’s nice seeing Deniro spend time with his son and living his truth over this soulful production. “Fire Emoji” feels like a much needed venting session for Deniro that is vulnerable, refreshingly honest, and dope.
Yak is in a such a creative peak that he drops great songs at any moment like change falling out of his pocket. “Shampoo” is simply fire.
Until next time…

Isn't it great when the creative juices flow? I've recently reawakened my muse with two exercises. First, I started handwriting again. Second, I started sketching again. I am back in motion.
