Art by Ahriman This week I decided to do a deep dive into the Hellraiser franchise. I was properly introduced to Hellraiser sometime in my teenage years when I read Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker even though I knew about the movies my entire life. That slim novella cracked open something divine in my imagination and my creativity was never the same. I didn’t know you could do things like this in fiction. Of course, I enjoyed the first movie, but for some reason never watched the rest of the films. I’m rectifying this issue now…
Ecyclopocalypse Press just released the original screenplay of HELLRAISER BLOODLINE. It's vastly different, and it even has clown cenobites! I think you'll dig it.
I'll be honest, the only Hellraiser movie I have enjoyed to-date is the original. I haven't seen anything beyond 2 and I really don't even recall it. Your reviews of the others drive me to steer clear of them, but this new one, after seeing the trailer, I'm interested in. I guess it's my thing for bald chicks. I once met this Buddhist nun, she was HAWT, spoke English and was as interested in me as I was of her. Apparently though, I was a bad influence because she stopped meeting me after just a couple of times. C'est la vie. What was I talking about again?
